Midcalder Curling Clubs AGM And Prize Giving 2013
It was another good turnout for this years AGM and Prize Giving held at Craigie's Farm Shop and Deli. It's always good to see so many people coming along to show support for the club even if they haven't won any prizes.
After the President and Treasurer's reports, Stewart Barr handed over the President's Medal to Alan Russell who takes on the presidency for the next two years. John Sinclair was elected to become the new Vice-President. Well done John, I'm sure you'll enjoy your time as vice.
Three places became vacant in the committee this year with Stewart Barr, Alan Graham and Christine Hamilton all stepping down. Andrew Brash, Graham Russell and Lynne McEwen were all elected to the committee for the next two years. Welcome aboard.
A big thank you to Stewart, Alan and Christine for all their hard work over the years on the committee.
It was then onto to the highlight of the night for most people, The prize giving.
A big thanks to Robert Smellie for handing out the prizes this year. Robert has just been awarded a 50 year's as a member medal from the RCCC. Congratulations Robert.
The night was finished of by a great meal from the staff at Craigie's.Thanks also to Lynne McEwen for saying the Curlers Grace.
And finally a big thank you to John and Kirsteen for your hospitality.
