Club Rules
A win scores two points, a draw one point.
Team placings will be decided by points, shots up, ends won and total shots for, in that order.
All games, except Bonspiels, will be played to the bell.
Play in Bonspiels will be limited to 8 ends or the bell.
Skips are requested to telephone their rinks before each competition starts to confirm their availability. However, if any player is unable to play then the onus is on that player to find a substitute and advise the skip of the name of such substitute. Failure to provide a substitute can upset the game for other members.
A substitute can play in any position up to and including that of the person for whom they are substituting. When, however, the substitute is already allocated and plays in another team in the league they can only substitute as lead irrespective of the position of the person for whom they are substituting.
STODDART SKIPS SUBSTITUTING IN THE COUSLAND CANNOT SKIP
Any non-member substituting shall play lead
If a member of a team is late, the game will start with the bell and the team will lose one shot for each ten minutes late up to three shots maximum.
Within the league competition substitutes are allowed:
1 or 2 substitutes no penalty
3 substitutes 3 penalty shots
4 substitutes 4 penalty shots
If a member of a team cannot present a substitute for their match, the team will be permitted to play with 3 members. 3 penalty points will be forfeited.
It is the responsibility of the winning skip to ensure the completed card is placed in the slot at the Midcalder notice board.
Scorecards must have date, competition and signatures from both skips. Where a scorecard is incomplete or incorrectly filled in, the game will be deemed a draw, at the lower score.
