Lots Of Christmas Cheer At Baird Roberson Bowl

 Midcalder Curling Club held their Christmas Bonspiel at Curl Edinburgh. The competition was played in a 2x2x2x2 system where each player in the team have a shot at skipping.

In the first game, Andrew Brash moved quickly into a 3-0 lead after two ends before Christine Smellie team after a few twists and turns leveled the game in the sixth end. Andrew looked to have won the game when they scored a two in the seventh end, but with less than a minute left on the clock, they were just time for one extra end which Christine won with a two to tie the game. 

The second game was Anne Keron versus Lorna Scott and this was another close game with both teams scoring two singles in the first four ends. Anne's team stole a two in the sixth end before Lorna's team leveled the game again in the next end. Anne's team took the deciding end with a two to win the match and take the Baird Roberson Bowl (Christmas Bonspiel) with plus two shots.
