Sophie Of To A Flyer In Greenacres
The first Asham Under 21 Slam of the season got underway at the Greenacres Junior Masters. Sophie Sinclair playing in Team Jackson made the perfect start to the season by winning the woman's competition. The team topped Group B with seven points and then went on to defeat Team Dakers 4-3 in the semi-final. In the final Team Jackson made a great start and never lost their lead as they went on to win the match and the title after defeating Team Aitken 6-3.
Rebecca Baird playing in Team Dandie were unable to progress out of the group stages finishing third in Group A.
In the Men's side of the draw, Callum Wood and Ewan Barr playing in Team Cormack qualified for the semi-finals with six points in Group B. They would then lose 7-1 to the eventual winners Team Bryce and followed by losing 10-3 to Team Carson in the 3/4 game.
David Baird's Team just missed out on qualifying for the semi-finals after they tied second place in Group A with six points losing out by two ends.
James Baird playing in Team McNay failed to qualify for the semi-finals after they finished fourth place in Group B.
