Greenacres Junior Masters
Rebbeca Baird got her season off to a flyer when playing with Team Davie at the Asham Under 21 Slam at Greenacres Curling Club.
Team Davie won Woman B with 3 wins and no losses and carried that form on as they won the Semi-final against Team Morrison 7-1. Team Davie got off to a great start in the final against team Farmer leading 5-2 in the fifth end. Team Farmer leveled the game in the seventh before Team Davie recovered to score an 2 in the last end to win the match 7-5.
David Baird also had a good run in the competition when his team won Section A in the Men's draw with three wins and no losses. They then defeated Team Carson 8-5 to reach the final where they played Team Whyte. Team Baird got off to a good start when they lead 5-2 after four ends before Team Whyte bounced back to level the game on the last end to take the match into an extra end where Team Whyte stole a single to win the match 7-6.
Also at Junior Masters was Callum Wood who was playing with Team Hay who were unable to make it out of the group stages.
