Everyone Is a Winner At Brydie Bonspiel

Midcalder Curling Club got their season underway with the Brydie Bonspiel. Just two teams were taking part in this year, with Christine Hamilton taking on Christine Smillie.  

Christine Smillie got off to a great start when they moved into a 3-1 lead after three ends before Christine Hamilton leveled the game with a two in the fourth end. Smillie then moved back into the lead with a single in the fifth. A strong finish from Hamilton gave her the spoils when they scored a two in the sixth end followed by a single in the last end to give Christine Hamilton and her team of Scott Baird, Sophie Sinclair, and Kirsteen Sinclair a 6-4 win. 

Congratulations to Christine Hamilton, Scott Baird, Sophie Sinclair, Kirsteen Sinclair for winning the Brydie Bonspiel.

Christine Smellie, Basil Baird, Jennifer Russell, Anne Keron win The R.O. Howden Shield for being runners up.
