Baird Guarantees To Stay Top Of Cousland For Ten Weeks

 This season's Cousland Cup opening game got underway at Curl Edinburgh. The first game of the week was John Sinclair taking on Scott Baird and it was John's team that made a quick start leading 4-0 after three ends. The match turned in the fourth end when Scott's team would go and win the next five ends in a row to win the match 9-4.

Bob Graham was taking on Graham Russell in the week's second match. The match was tied after three ends at 3-3. Graham Russell's team then won the next three ends to lead by five points. Bob's team made one last push and managed to score three points in the last end, leaving Graham Russell 8-6 winners. 

The next match will be in ten weeks after four Midcalder members are back from the Strathcona Cup in Canada.
