Andrew Graham Takes Slim Lead in Cousland Cup

Midcalder Curling Club got their 2024 Cousland Cup underway with two closely played games.

Basil Baird got off to a flying start by scoring a four in the first end. John Sinclair replied by winning the next two ends to lead 5-4. Basil's team then won the next two ends with singles to take the lead back, only for John's team to score a two in the last end to win the match 7-6.

Andrew Graham won the first two ends to lead 3-0 in the week's second match. Bob Graham replied by scoring a two in the third end. Andrew's team then moved clear again by scoring singles in the next two ends. Bob's team also replied by scoring singles in the next two ends to close the gap to one point. Andrew's team hung on to win the last end and the match 6-4 to go top of the league.
