Fun Packed New Year Bonspiel!
Christine Hamilton and her team of David Baird, Harry Russell and Lynn McEwen won the New Year Fun Bonspiel. Again this year each end had it own rules, These were
End 1 - Clockwise handles only
End 2 - Anti-clockwise handles only
End 3 - No sweeping past far hog line
End 4 - No instructions given by skip
Stacking of brooms for a refreshment break
End 5 - In Silence!
End 6 - No take outs
End 7 - Points for all stones in the house at end of play
The bonspiel was a close run affaire, mainly because the seconds didn't fill out cards correctly! and the skips didn't check cards before signing them!
