Midcalder Narrowly Lose District Medal

Midcalder curling club took on Kelso curling club in the district medal this season.
Midcalder One team of Basil Baird, Stewart Barr, Bob Graham & Alan Graham got off to a great start with a 5 in the first end. The team extended there lead to 11-3 after six ends but then lost the last three ends with singles for the final result to be 11-6 in Midcalder's favour.
Midcalder Two of Graham Young, John Sinclair, Jim Wilson & Abigail Rennie also got off to a great start when they lead 7-2 after three ends but then the wheels fell off as they lost the last four ends to lose the game 9-7.
This made it one win each for the teams, so it came down to ends won. This meant that Kelso Curling Club won the district medal with 9 ends to Midcalder's 6.
