David and Stewart off and Running in Stoddart Cup

 The opening game in this season's Stoddart Cup got underway with two big wins. 

In the opening game, David Baird took on Scott Baird and David's team held a narrow 4-3 lead at the halfway point. Six points in the next two ends gave David a big lead and a single in the last end for Scott wasn't enough for Scotts as David Baird won the match. 10-4.

The next match saw Alan Russell's team storm a 7-2 lead at the halfway point. Graham Young's team replied by winning the last three ends to tie the match at 7-7.

The final match saw another fast start, this time by Stewart Barr's team as they raced into a 6-1 lead at the halfway point. Basil Baird's team was unable to make a comeback in the match as Stewart's team won 8-2.
