District Medal
Midcalder were up against Foulden Curling Club in this years District Medal game held at Border Ice Rink in Kelso.
The result was very close but with two very different results from the Midcalder teams.
Midcalder 1 team was Scott Baird (skip), Andrew Brash (third), Jim Wilson (second) and Jean Brash (lead). They got of to a fast start winning the first four ends of the game and finished of the game with a two for a 8-3 win.
Midcalder 2 team was Alan Russell (skip), Harry Russell (third), Harry Macpherson (second) and Jean Carruthers (lead).
They struggled in this game and were out played by the Foulden team. They were many close ends in this game with the Foulden team playing the big shots to win the ends and the game 10-4.
With the combined scores Foulden Curling club won overall 13-12 to win the District Medal.
