Stewart Barr made a late charge to defeat Basil Baird's team in Game 7 of the Stoddart Cup. In a closely played game, Jim Wyllie standing in for Basil Baird took lead in the game before Stewart's team came back to tie the match at 4-4 after five ends. Stewart's team then won the final two ends to win the match 9-4.
