Young Goes Top Of Stoddart For Now
Graham Young and his team finished off their Stoddart Cup campaign in style after defeating Bob Graham in Game 8. Graham Young's team always looked under control after leading 5-0 after two ends and they kept that form as they ran out 11-4 winners. The win takes them to the top of the league, but they will have to watch from the sidelines to see if they win the league. A win or a draw from Scott Baird's team in their last match will see them lift the Stoddart Cup.
Alan Russell's team also have an outside chance of winning the Stoddart Cup if they win by more than 3 shots and Scott Baird team lose. Alan kept their hopes alive in Game 8 after defeating Graham Wood's team 9-2. The match was much closer than the result looked and it wasn't till an amazing shot by Alan in the sixth end put the match beyond doubt.
