Going into the last end three teams were still in the hunt for winning the competition. Scott team on +7 shots, Basil's team on +9 and Ian's team leading the way on +11 shots. All could change in the last end with Target Practice. Each player played their normal two shots. A stone coming to rest in the 8 foot circle scored 1 point, 6 foot circle 2 points, 4 foot circle 3 points and in the button the scored 5 points.
Scott's team failed to improve in the final discipline and finished third. Basil's team did better but were unable to close the gap and finished runner-up. It was Ian Keron's team that scored the most points in the final discipline with 19 points and with an overall score with +14 shots to win the Chrismas Bonspiel.
They were also a prize for best hat and the standard was very high with lots of our members putting a lot of work into making the hats!
Jim Wyllie Judged the competition and gave me his top three hat's.
First Prize went to Jean Brash
Second Place was Basil Baird
Third place was Harry Macpherson
