Team Young Take Early Advantage In Cousland Cup

The Cousland Cup got underway for Midcalder Curling Club and it was Graham Young who took the early lead in the competition with a big win over Alan Ogilvie. A 5 in the first end got them off and running and they also got three penalty points for Alan's team only having three players which gave Graham's team a 13-2 victory.
Bob Graham also scored a 5 in his match against Graham Russell, but it was scoring three ends in a row from the fourth end gave them the advantage over Graham who was also awarded three penalty points for Bob's team having three players. Bob hung on to win the match 11-7. 
John Baird made the most when he won his three ends against Andrew Graham. A 4,2 & 1 was enough to beat Andrew 7-5.
