Midcalder Curling Club narrowly missed out in an opening draw against Barbarians Curling Club in the opening game of the Midlothian Province League Division 1.
Midcalder team of Stewart Barr, Scott Baird, John Sinclair, and Jim Wilson found themselves 4-3 down at the halfway point and then slipped fother behind going into the last end. With the very last shot, Stewart had to split a front guard to get a four to draw the game, but missed by about a hair.
