Midcalder Unbeaten In Jackson, But Don't Win Overall
Midcalder Curling Club was playing in the Jackson Trophy which is the Champions of Champions competition from Murrayfield competitions from last season.
In a new format this season, the teams played three end matches to find out the champion.
The Midcalder team of Ian Keron, Graham Young, Andrew Keron, and Abigail Rennie played Graham Patrick, pairs champion first. They drew the game 2-2 but were knocked out because they lost two ends to one.
This sent them the low road where they played Carrington Curling Club, Linlithgow Trophy winners in the semi-final 3-2.
In the final, they played Edinburgh Ladies, winner of the Ladies Monday B League. They won this game 4-1 to win the Low Road. Congratulations to Ian, Graham, Andrew and Abigail for winning the low road.
