David Books Place In Broom Final
The final round of the qualifying for the Torphichen Broom Final got underway.
Basil Baird had to beat David Baird if anyone else had a chance to qualify for the final. Unfortunately, Basil didn't get off to a great start as David lead 3-0 after two ends before they got on the scoreboard with a two in the third. David killed the match off when they scored a four in the forth end and when David then scored a two in the next and Basil shook hand giving David a 9-2 win and second place the league to qualifying them for the final against Ian Keron.
Graham Young finished in third place in the league after defeating Stewart Barr the final match. Stewart got off to a good start when scoring a two in the first end before Graham's team scored ten points in the next four ends to win the match 10-2.
