Five Star Performance See's David Win Broom
The final of the Midcalder Curling Club's Torphichen Broom competition was played at the weekend. Ian Keron and David Baird finished the league part of the competition tied top with six points each, in which Ian held a narrow advantage by finishing top by better shots difference.
David Baird's team blasted into a seven nil lead after four ends to take the early advantage. Ian's team fought hard and scored a two in the sixth end, but their dreams ended when the last two ends were blanked.
David is the man to beat in the broom as this was the fifth year in a row winning the competition and second as a skip.
