Comeback Kings Win Stoddart Cup

 The final game of this season's Stoddart Cup had great excitement right to the last shot. 

Basil Baird needed just one point to take the title but found themselves 5-2 down at the halfway point against Stewart Barr. Stewart took a single in the sixth end before Basil closed the gap with a two in the sixth. Stewart looked like they had won the match when they scored a two in the seventh end to lead 8-4 going into the last end. The comeback kings did it again when Basil's team of John Sinclair, Graham Wood, and Harry Macpherson scored a four in the last end to draw the match at 8-8 and take the Stoddart Cup title. 

Laura Barr's team needed and win and hope that Basil lost their game to win the title. Everything was going to plan as they lead 4-1 at the halfway point against Alan Ogilvie. Laura's team kept the pressure on as they won the last three ends to win the match 10-1. Laura's Barr team of Scott Baird, Andrew Graham, and Anne Baird won the Stoddart Shield for runners-up in the league.
