Bob Top Of League In Torphichen Broom's Opening Weekend

Bob Graham and his team stormed to the top of the league in the Torphichen Broom after demolishing defending champion Ewan Hamilton 9-1 in the opening weekend of the league. Bob was 6-0 up after four end and never looked back after that.
Alan Russell team weren't far behind in week one. They lead 5-0 after three ends against Stewart Barr and ran out eventual winners 7-2.
In the final match in the opening weekend they were four blank ends in the game and it was Basil Baird and his team that came out on top, with a 5-2 win over Graham Young.
