Russell Extends Lead At Top Of Stoddart

John Sinclair won his first match of the 2016 Stoddart Cup when he took on Stewart Barr. John's team held a 4-2 after 4 ends and then won the next with a 2. Stewart's team closed the gap by winning the next two ends but John's team finished off a good game by scoring a 3 in the last end to win the match 9-5.

In the absence of Alan Russell, Team Russell was skipped by David Baird. Team Russell got off to a flying start with a 4 at the first end. However Team Wood came back in the second end with a 3. Then Team Russell also scored a 3 for a score of 7 - 3. Team Russell then stole 2 at the next end to lead 9 - 3.  The next 3 ends saw singles exchanged with Team Russell running  out winners 10-5.
