Top Three Teams Win Again In Torphichen Broom
It was two wins out of two for the top three teams after game 2 of the Torphichen Broom League. Stewart Barr stayed top by shots difference after a low-scoring win over Bob Graham. It took to the fifth end before Bob's team scored the first points of the game with a single, Stewart's Team replayed by winning the next two ends and with the last end being blanked Stewart's Team won the match 3-1.
A topsy-turvy game saw Basil Baird take the early lead before Alan Russell scored a 3 in the third end. Basil's Team then leveled the match with a 2 in the fourth before Alan took the lead again with a 4 in the fifth and with the last two ends being blanked, it was Alan's Team that won the match 7-3.
Graham Young was the third team with two wins after beating Scott Baird. The match was tied at 2 all after three ends before Graham's team scored a 3 in the fourth end. The next two ends were then blanked and the Graham sealed the win with a single in the last end to win the match 6-2.
