Russell Closes In On Stroddart Title
Alan Russell moved four points clear again at the top of the Stoddart Cup after defeating Basil Baird in Game 6. Alan's team got off to a flyer scoring a 5 in the first end, Basil's team got on the scoreboard in the third end with a 2 but that would be his last as Alan's team won the last three ends to win the match 11-2.
The bottom two teams were up against each other and it was Bob Graham's team that held a 5-2 lead after four ends. Stewart Barr's team weren't finished yet as they won the last three ends with singles to tie the match at 5-5.
