Midcalder Fall At Last Hurdle In Provence Bonspiel
Midcalder Curling Club was playing in Midlothian Provence Bonspiel sponsored by Brewing Dolphin.
Midcalder had three teams competing and on the 10am game, Basil Baird skipped his team to a 15-2 win over Abbotsford Curling Club.
Graham Young skipped the 2pm game and won the game 11-2 over Merchiston Curling Club.
Unfortunately, Stewart Barr was unable to keep Midcalder's winning ways when they lost the 6pm game to Gogar Park Young Curlers 16-3.
This gave Midcalder an average of 3 which was well short of Gogar Park Curlers who went on to win the competition with an average winning score of 14 shots. Congratulations to David Baird and Adam Keron who were part of the Gogar Team.
