Team Baird Go Top Of Broom
Basil Baird moved to the top of the Torphichen Broom League with a strong performance against Bob Graham. Basil's team scored in four of the first five ends to lead the match 8-0. Bob's team scored a single in the sixth end and shook hands, giving Basil an 8-1 victory.
Stewart Barr fell off the top of the league after going down to Graham Young who scored 4 in the first end and followed that up with 2 in the third to lead 6-0. Stewart got on the scorecard with a 2 in the fifth before Graham finished the game off with a 2 in the last end to win the match 8-2.
The final game of the week was a bottom of the league clash with Alan Russell's team shutting out Scott Baird. Alan's team scored a 2 in the first end followed by five singles to give them a 7-0 victory.
