Basil And His Destroyers
The final of the 2020 Cousland Cup was on paper going to be a classic with both teams on top form.
Basil Baird and his team of Graham Young, Harry Macpherson & Lynne McEwen take on Graham Wood and his team of Alan Graham, Scott Baird & Alan Crawford.
Both teams had finished the round-robin stage with four wins and one defeat. Graham Wood was on a winning streak of four wins in a row only losing there opening game against Basil Baird!
Basil's team was fast out the blocks when they scored a five on the first end. Graham's team then got on the scorecard when they scored a single in the second end. Things didn't get any better for Graham when Basil's team scored a three in the third and a two in the forth. At this point Graham conceded the match, meaning Basil Baird won the Cousland Cup with a 10-1 victory.
