Midcalder In The Heart Of The Competition

Midcalder Curling Club was taking part in the British Heart Foundation bonspiel held at Curl Edinburgh. The Midcalder team of Scott Baird, Jim Wilson, Harry Macpherson, and Anne Baird played the Corriefisterts. Midcalder gave it everything and even had the unofficial shot of the day with the opposition lying shot, well guarded, Scott played a Four stone raise to take out the shot stone and leave Midcalder lying two shots. Midcalder went on to win the match 8-3, but this wasn't enough to win overall as Vets won by 12 shots to take the trophy.
