John's Extra Special Finish To Cousland

 The final to the Cousland Cup turned out to be a classic and nail-biting end to the season. 

Bob Graham playing for Graham Russell played some great draw shots to hold a 3-2 lead over John Sinclair at the halfway point. Two singles for John's team took them back into the lead before Graham's team went back into the lead with a two in the seventh end. At the last end Graham's team lay one shot with the skips shots to come, Bob, unfortunately, couldn't get a guard on the stone, and John with the last shot knocked the scoring stone out of play to score one and force an extra end. The roles were reversed in the last end with John's team lying two shots with Bob's last shot to come. This time the shot slid by leaving John's team lying shot to give them the title. 

Congratulations to John Sinclair, Graham Young, Harry Macherson & Anne Keron for winning the Cousland Cup. Congratulations also to Graham Russell, Alan Russell, Alan Graham & Anne Baird for winning the Henderson Shield.

In the 3/4 game, Alan Ogilvie's team held a 3-2 lead over Basil Baird at the halfway point. Basil's team was unable to turn the match around after Alan's team scored five points in the next two ends to win the match 8-2.
