Late Drama In Cousland Cup
The final round-robin game in this season's Cousland Cup saw three teams challenging for a place in the final. First up was saw John Sinclair and Basil Baird tied at the halfway point in their match. Basil's team took the lead in the fifth, before John's team won the last two ends to win the match 7-5 and book their place in the final.
The second game of the week saw leaders Graham Russell taking on winless Alan Ogilvie. Again this was another close game and the match was tied going into the last end. Graham couldn't make the most of having the last stone advantage as Alan's team stole a two to win the match 5-3.
It couldn't be much closer to see who would be in the final against John Sinclair's team as Graham Russell and Basil Baird was tied on points and shots up. It all came down to ends won and Graham Russell's team made it through by two ends.
