Double A Performance At Buchanan Pairs

It was quite a special Buchanan Pairs for 2013. Not only were we at a new venue (Forfar  Ice Rink), But we had Drew Buchanan there himself watching over the days play, as well as a few other spectators this made for a great days curling.
Eight  teams  split into two groups contested this years tournament, with each player playing three stones each end over four end games.
Harry Russell and Jim Wilson won Group A with four points the same as early leaders in the group Christine Hamilton and Jean Brash. Harry and Jim won the group with a better shot difference over Christine and Jean.
This left Group B knowing they had to have more than four points from the three games or have a better shot difference than plus seven. And it was Andrew Brash and Alan Graham that won by the smallest margin. They finished on five points after Christine Smellie draw shot to win the game just came up short, leaving them Group Winners over Alan Russell and Alan Crawford who finished second in the group with four points and plus ten shots.
Well Done Andrew and Alan for winning the Buchanan Pairs.
