Midcalder One Through To Quarterfinals Of Rink Championship

The first of two Midcalder teams entered in this seasons Rink Championship at Murrayfield Curling Rink got off to a great start in the competition after seeing off Carrington in the first round. Playing for Midcalder One was Alan Russell, Graham Young, James Baird and Andrew Brash.
Having won the toss, Midcalder conceded a one in the first end and then went on to blank the second end. Fortunes changed thereafter, when they won a three in the third and stole a three in the fourth end. The match came to an early finish when Midcalder again stole a two this time in the fifth end to leave Midcalder 8-1 winners.
