Midcalder Take Glenfarclas Division Two Title
The final of the Division Two Glenfarclas Mid Lothian Province League saw Midcalder Curling Club up against Duddingston Curling Club. Playing for Midcalder on the night was Alan Russell, Graham Young, Scott Baird and John Sinclair.
With both teams already guaranteed a place in Division One next season, this game was all about who were going to be the champions. It was Midcalder that got off to a flying start when they took a three in the first two ends to storm into a 6-0 lead. Duddingston got on the board in the third end when they scored a two, but Midcalder replied in the forth end with a two. Midcalder then forced Duddingston to take a single in the fifth end. When Alan made a double with his last shot in the sixth end, Duddingston conceded the match with Midcalder Curling Club winning 10-3.
