Alan Closes Gap On Top Of Stoddart
They were three very close match's in this weeks Stoddart Cup, In the first game Bob Graham and Basil Baird were tied at four points each after four ends. Bob won the 5th &6th ends which lead his team to a 6-5 victory.
The game between Stewart Barr and Graham Wood swung both ways during the game. James Baird moved up to skip the game and lead the game 4-2 after four ends. But Stewart's team came back scoring three 2's in the next four ends to win the game 8-5.
The final match of the week saw Graham Young storm into a 4-0 lead after two ends against Alan Russell's team. Alan's team then came back into the game to lead the match 5-4 after four ends before Graham would take back the lead again in the 6th end. But Alan drew the button with his last shot to tie the match and close the gap on Scott Baird at the top of the Stoddart Cup.
