Midcalder Bitten By Stray Dogs
Midcalder Curling Club were up against Stray Dogs in the final of the Directors Trophy for the second year in a row and unfortunately they had the same result.
The teams for Midcalder were Team One - Alan Russell, Ian Keron, Graham Young and Andrew Brash. Team Two were Stewart Barr, David Baird, Scott Baird and John Sinclair.
Both matches were very close in the early stages of the games and going into the last two ends Alan's team were just one down. They gambled on a few shots to win the match and the gamble didn't pay off as they went down 7-3.
In Stewart's game were also 5-4 down with two ends to go and again as they tried to win the game they also lost the last two ends to lose the game 9-4.
This gave Stray Dogs 16-7 overall victory.
