No Icing On The Cake In Glenfarclas Final
Midcalder Curling Club were up against Musketeers in the Playoff game in this season's Glenfarclas Mid Lothian Provance Division 1 League to find out which team will represent Mid Lothian at the National Finals. Playing for Midcalder on the night was Alan Russell, Scott Baird, Sophie Sinclair and John Sinclair.
In a low scoring game, Musketeers led 2-0 after three ends. Midcalder got on the scorecard in the fourth end with a single before Musketeers blanked the next two ends. Midcalder then stole a single in the seventh end to tie the match a 2-2. In the last end, Musketeers kept the end clear leaving them with a hit and lie to win the match which they did to give them a 3-2 win.
Congratulations to the Musketeers who will now represent Mid Lothian in the National Finals.
Midcalder had the consolation of receiving the trophy for winning the Glenfarclas Mid Lothian Province League title.
