Russell Takes Early Lead In Stoddart Cup

Alan Russell got off to a great start in the opening game of this years Stoddart Cup after defeating Bob Graham's team. Alan's team raced into a 4-1 lead after three ends and then won the last four ends to win the match 13-2.
John Sinclair made a good start against Andrew Brash when they lead 4-1 after three ends before Andrew's team moved into top gear by winning  the last five ends to win the match 10-4.
The last game of the opening week saw Basil Baird taking on Stewart Barr's team and both team's held the lead at some point in the match before Basil took a 3 in the last end which would tie the match at 8-8.
