Winning Start To Mid Lothian Province League
Midcalder Curling Club had a winning start in Division 2 of the Mid-Lothian Province league when they defeated Penicuik Curling Club in the opening game.
The team of David Baird, Scott Baird, John Sinclair, and Jim Wilson got off to a good start by winning three of the first four ends to lead the match 5-1. Penicuik then scored an 2 in the fifth end before Midcalder all but finished the match off with an 4 in the sixth end. Penicuik did score a single in the last end, but it was Midcalder the would take the points with a 9-4 victory.
