Inter-club Turnaround For Midcalder One
A busy final weekend of curling for Midcalder Curling Club started off with the re-arranged Inter-club competition. Uphall Curling Club and Livingston Curling Club accepted the invitation to play against two Midcalder teams.
First up was Midcalder One of Bob Graham, Alan Crawford, and Jim Wilson take on Livingston Curling Club who got off to a great start by winning the first three ends to lead 5-0. But then in one of the biggest comebacks from a Midcalder team as they won the last five ends which included a 6 and a 4 which gave Midcalder a 15-5 victory over Livingston.
The second game was Midcalder Two of I Keron, G Russell, H Davis, and A Keron take on Uphall Curling Club. A close first half of the game saw Uphall leading 5-4 after four ends. Midcalder fought back to lead by a point going into the last end, but with the last end, advantage Uphall scored a 4 to win the game 10-7.
After a great days curling it was Midcalder One who took the trophy home after finishing with a plus 10 shots. Congratulations to Bob Graham, Alan Crawford, and Jim Wilson on winning the Inter-club.
