Midcalder Not So Friendly To Penicuik
Midcalder Curling Club was invited to play a friendly game against Penicuik Curling Club. Representing Midcalder on the night were Alan Russell, Andrew Brash, Jean Brash and Jennifer McEwen.
The match got under way with Midcalder losing the toss, but then went on to steal singles in the first five ends of the match. This was then followed with a steal of a two in the sixth end to lead 7-0. The big game changer came in the seventh end when the Penicuik skip drew through the house with his last stone to leave seven stones counting for Midcalder! To further compound the win Midcalder stole a single in the last end to win the game 15-0.
