Stoddart Cup Tightens Up
The bottom two clubs in the Stoddart Cup were in action as Graham Young's team lead 5-1 at the halfway point against Bob Graham. But back came Bob's team skipped by Graham Russell as they scored a 4 in the fifth end, followed by a 2 in the sixth end. Graham took a single in the last end, but it wasn't enough as Bob Graham's team won 7-6.
John Sinclair defeated league leaders Graham Wood in the next game of the night. In a low scoring game, John's team lead 2-1 at the half way point and then extend their lead in the fifth when they scored another single. Graham pulled one back in the seventh end before John's team scored a single in the last end to win the match 4-2.
In the weeks, last match Alan Russell's team got off to a fast start when the scored a 3 before Stewart Barr levelled the match off in the next two ends. Alan briefly lead again before Stewart's team scored two 3's to lead the match 9-5. Alan's team scored a 2 in the last end but after the 3 penalty shots were added to their score, Alan's team won 10-9.
