Basil Stay's Top of Stoddart Cup

 Game 4 of this season's Stoddart Cup saw three close games on the ice. First up Stewart Barr's team lead 4-3 at the halfway point in the match against Alan Russell. Stewart then extended their lead after scoring a single in the fifth, but then Alan's team stormed through winning the last three and the match 11-5.

In the next match, Alan Ogilvie had raced into a 6-1 lead at the halfway point. The game turned in the second half when Basil Baird's team scored two 2's to reduce the lead and with a two in the last end, they managed to draw the game at 7-7.

Laura Barr's team closed the gap at the top of the league after scraping through against Graham Young. Laura's team had led the match at 4-3 after four ends. Graham's team then moved into the lead going into the last end. Laura's won the match after scoring a three in the last end to win 9-7.
