Wooden Spoon For Russell in Stoddart

 Game five of this season's Stoddart Cup saw the bottom four clubs in action. The bottom team Alan Russell was trying to win their second match in a row. Alan Ogilvie held the early advantage leading 5-1 at the halfway point. Russell's team closed the gap to one point going into the last end and they were lying two shots with one shot to come. Alan Ogilvie held his nerve a drew the button with his last shot to win the game 6-4.

Graham Young's team leapfrogged Stewart Barr after winning 7-3. Graham's team won the first three ends to lead 6-0 and even with Stewart's team winning three of the last four ends it wasn't enough as Graham's team held on for the points.
