Basil has Small Lead in Opening Game of Broom

 Defending champion Colin Howden got the 2024-2025 Torphichen Broom campaign underway with a winning start. Even with losing three penalty points for having three players Colin's team made a great start by winning the second, third, and fourth ends to lead 7-0. Graham Young's team then blanked the fifth end and when they lost the sixth end they called it a day with Colin's team winning 10-3.

Stewart Barr held a point lead at the halfway point against Basil Baird who won the fifth end to level the match. Stewart's team blanked the sixth end before Basil's team won the last two ends to win the match 11-4.

The last match of the week was tied at the halfway point. David Baird's team then blanked the fifth end and stole a single in the sixth. Ian Keron's team then moved into the lead by scoring two in the seventh. David's team came back to score three in the last to win the match 7-5.
