Midcalder Off And Running In Glenfarclas
Midcalder Curling Club got their defence of the Glenfarclas Mid Lothian Provance Division 1 title underway with a good win over Carrington Curling Club.
Playing for Midcalder on the night were Basil Baird, Scott Baird, John Sinclair and George Sinclair. Although losing a single in the first end, Midcalder would take charge of the game when they opened up a 5-1 lead after four ends. Carrington closed the gap when they won singles in the next two ends before Midcalder finished the match of with a 4 in the last end to win the match 9-3.
