Andrew Secures Cousland Cup
Andrew Brash secured the Cousland Cup one game early after results went his way. His team got off to a good start when they built up a 4-1 lead after four ends over Alan Ogilvie. Alan's team did close the gap with a single in the fifth end before Andrew all but won the game in the sixth end when they scored a 4. Alan's team did win the last end but wasn't enough as Andrew's team won the game 8-3.
Christine Hamilton was the only team now that could catch Andrew but her team got off to a bad start against Lesley Barr as they went 6-0 down after three ends before Christine's team fought back scoring two 3's in the next three ends to close the gap to one. Lesley team did manage to hold on scoring a 2 in the last end to win the match 9-6.
John Baird's team got off to a good start going 3-0 up after two ends before Graham Russell team came back to lead the match 4-3 after four ends. John's team again went back into the lead again by winning the next two ends before Graham's team scored a 2 in the last end to tie the match at 6-6.
