Bob Sweeps Opposition Aside To Win Torphichen Broom
Bob Graham and his team of David Baird, Graham Wood and Callum McLean won the Torphichen Broom with one game still to play after demolishing Scott Baird. Bob's team won a 5 in the first end and never looked back as they racked up a 13-0 victory.
The only other team that could have kept the competition alive was Graham Young, who had a similar result to Scott Baird. Basil Baird's team took a 3 off Graham's team in the first end and never looked back as they would eventually win the game 9-0.
The weeks last match, was also the closest with both teams scoring points. Alan Russell was 4-2 up after three ends after trading two's with Stewart Barr and then moved clear after stealing singles in the next two ends. Stewart's team bounced back scoring 3 points in the next three ends but came up just short as Alan's team held on for a 6-5 victory.
