Make Or Break Time Now In Province League
Midcalder Curling Club had a crunch game against Corstorphine Curling Club in the Mid Lothian Division One Province League with both teams at the wrong end of the table.
Midcalder had Basil Baird, Scott Baird, John Sinclair and George Sinclair playing for them and they didn't get off to a great start when Corstorphine stole singles in the first three ends. Back came Midcalder with a 4 in the fourth end only to lose a 5 in the sixth. They closed the gap to two points after the seventh end and in the last end Scott had difficult shot to move a stone to get potentially a tie or a win, but unfortunately it caught the guard and the final score was 10-6 to Corstorphine.
Midcalder has one more chance to avoid regulation when they play Gogar Park in the last game, They will need a win and hope the other results go their way.
