Mhairi Comes Close At Scottish Championship
Midcalder had two members playing in this seasons Go Coco Scottish Curling Championships at the Dewars Centre in Perth.
Mhairi Baird had a great run in the championship after qualifying third in the round-robin stages. They then defeated Team Fleming 7-4 in the semi-final to advance to the final where they would play Team Muirhead. The final was a close game with both teams tied at the half-way point at 4-4 before Muirhead stole a 2 in the sixth & eighth ends to move clear and win the championship.
Sophie Sinclair was playing with Team K Aitken, but was unable to make it out of the round-robin stages and finished seventh with 2 wins and five defeats.
